Coffee Bar

Let's face it, everybody wants to be cool. Glamour is the clothe everybody wants to wear. More so for the growing up teens, like me and the other insecure people that yearn and crave day and night for approval and acceptance from the crowd. Boy, it's alright if you feel that way because you should know that not everyone is born with a broad chest, six packs, tanned skinned, pimple-less pretty face with a slender waist and the talent to play 6 musical instruments and 12 different sports. Not everyone is that privilege like me.

So you hang out with your friends, trying to be cool, finding 1001 ways to waste the hard-earned money your parents give you. You happen to know that the 'coffee-bar trend' has been around for ages and those classy mates all agree that DRINKING COFFEE IS COOL. Why, for across Europe, Italy, America, everybody is doing that. Just one thing, you forgot this is Malaysia.

The two hot-spots you can get overprice coffee here is none other than Coffee-Bean and Starbucks. If you live in Kuching like me, only Coffee-Bean is available. Those people sell you a cup of coffee for RM18.90 and they are not in jail. It's ridiculous, now if you're a coffee lover, and you're all addicted and into coffee-art and all that-----Fine. But in reality, this is what happen to me and you.

Cool, you wanna be all American-like today, you put on your knickers, sunglasses and your accent which sounds so bad. You step into coffee-bean to make your orders. You stare at the menu and the menu look back at you. You have totally no idea what on earth are they selling because the few coffee names you are familiar with are Kopi-Peng, Kopi-O, Teh-C and Teh Tarik. You don't want to embarrass yourself, so you simply pick your favourite name and make your orders. Having no idea what you'll be drinking. Fine, if that doesn't happen to you, it happens to me.

SO I DECIDED TO BE COOL, AND DAD SAYS ONLY PEOPLE WITH KNOWLEDGE IS COOL. I'M MAKING IT HAPPEN TO MALAYSIAN, I'M YOUR NATIONAL TREASURE, THE ONLY TEEN THAT WOULD TELL YOU THE TRUTH.

Next time when you step into those shop again, you're not cool you're lame. You seriously have to know what you are drinking, these are the four names you oughta at least pretend you know them.

Cappucino

Cappuccino is a large Italian beverages prepared with espresso, hot milk and milk foam. That's how simple it is! Coffee and Milk you Blondie. RM 18.90

Espresso

Espresso originated from Italy is a concentrated coffee beverage brewed by forcing very hot, but not boiling, water under high pressure through coffee that has been ground to a consistency between extremely fine and powder It's very hot brewed thick coffee. RM16.90

Latte

A latte is a type of coffee drink made with hot milk. It taste a lot like Cappuccino just that it's mostly milk and a little foam. They give you the same coffee with a different name. Still, the same price RM18.90

Mocha

A Café Mocha is a variant of a cafe latte. Like a latte it is typically one third espresso (the very hot brewed thick coffee) and two thirds steamed milk, but a shot of CHOCOLATE is added. RM21.90

Nuts............

Disclaim: The truth that coffee in such places are so expensive is that they do not make your coffee by powder. They usually grin coffee beans until their juice comes out and make you your highly caffeine-shot drinks. People who aren't casual coffee drinkers are bound to have a good headache after each visits. Personally, I like Milo more than Coffee. The reason I shot coffee like this is that this week's post are all sponsored by Milo.

For a non-coffee drinker, I frequent Starbucks. Why? They have very nice frappucino. What is frappucino? Uhm, drinks blended with ice lor. But if you really want to make it worth ur money, order hot chocolate and then take away the mug they serve u with. THAT!!! will make it worth it! hehehe
